Combines experience with youthful enthusiasm

The Bristol 32 is the first of our 20 knot range of motor yachts, and designed very much according to the personal taste of the launching customer. This boat provides the basis for an extensive range of versions, from open launch like the Bristol 27, to semi enclosed steering position like the one shown here, to a full length wheelhouse for the more comfort minded owners, all of which have their own particular advantages in usage or styling.

Apart from the more obvious styling differences from the Bristol 27 in the vertical shape of the stem and the extra flare in the bow (all of which can be changed to that of the Bristol 27) and the introduction of a spray rail to cope with the higher speed, the main technical difference is the twin engined propulsion, which provides more safety at sea, better manoeuvrability, and a large unobstructed open cockpit. The U-shaped seating arrangement can be turned into a large sunbed with the tables lowered, or provide extra accommodation when the full standing headroom cockpit cover is set up.

The extra length compared to the Bristol 27 mainly benefits the cabin, where the U-shaped settee provides room for two bunks (or a very large double). The backrest at the forward end of the settee can be lifted to extend the V-berth at a higher level in the bow, thus creating sleeping arrangements for 4 people. The heads is situated inside the companionway on the port side.

Opposite on the starboard side is the galley, where a simple stove/sink arrangement can be built in, or a more elaborate gimballed stove and separate sink for those planning more extended sea voyages. Underneath is room for a fridge. The headroom under the flush fore deck comes to a surprising 1.67 m (5’6”) and therefore provides more than enough headroom when sitting down and it feels surprisingly large.

The warm glow from the timber hull surrounds you, while the light oak deckbeams, cream painted underside of the decks and the portholes keep the atmosphere bright. At night the well placed LED lighting maintains this bright but cosy atmosphere.

A 20 knot maximum speed is envisaged with two 110 hp Yanmar engines. If the boat behaves as impeccable as the Bristol 27 in a seaway, her wave piercing bow allowing for a smooth ride, then a trip in the Bristol 32 is definitely something to look forward to!

As with all our boats, the Bristol 32 is built to order in wood/epoxy construction to your personal specifications. Materials, layout of cabin and cockpit, engine sizes and number, fittings, colours, furnishings, etc, can all be adapted to fit your particular style and taste.
